my favorite part of the recent Slartboz demo video ("Staying Behind") is when the teen male protagonist of the game, Abro, has to figure out The Right Thing to say to his gurlfren (Fern) before he departs on The Tank Search Expedition with his buddies, The Lazer Lizards

among his choices are an array of pretty normal & reasonable things one might say in his shoes. some are Major Mistakes & awkward stumbles. & theres one big digressive rift about The Mythical Tank itself

but theres also a peek into what the fate of the world might be, if young Abro refuses his Call to Adventure. refuses to go on his Hero Quest. and the stakes may be the very ultimate...
